Susquehanna E.H.S. is proud to be using the Emergency Medical Management Assistant (EMMATM)
which is a sophisticated computer software system that collects, stores, distributes,
and reports information pertaining to an ambulance run.
EMMATM allows
our emergency medical technicians (EMTs) or paramedics to record information
about each ambulance trip they perform. This information includes
Incident Location, Dispatch and Arrival Times, Mileage, Response Outcome
(Transported, Treated-Not Transported, etc.), Nature of Injury, Vital
Signs, Treatments Performed, and much, much more. From this base, a
"run sheet" can be automatically generated and then edited to
meet the author's requirements.
The ability to record Emergency Medical
System (EMS) data has many benefits to our EMS organization: The EMT can
complete his or her paperwork in less than half the time of a
paper-based system; the data is checked for accuracy as it is being
entered allowing immediate correction; and the data is available to EMS
management for decision making.
This availability of data is of
strategic importance. EMMATM has over 100
reports available. These include Medical Incident reports like the
Cardiac Arrest Report, Treatments by Attendant, Response Time by
Neighborhood, and Trip Counts by Receiving Facility from Neighborhood.
By using this information, our EMS services can manage their organization
effectively and efficiently with accurate and up-to-date information.
